USE REAL BACON BITS! :) I fabricated one with the pecans and ane with real bacon bits and the bacon one was way amend and was gone much faster. I too suggest Non using the Chicken in a Biscuit crackers that others suggested. Subsequently I read the reviews I got them and they were style too salty with this already salty cheese ball. Luckily I got those large round wheat crackers too and it was cracking with those. Will make again and again!

This was an outstanding cheese ball. The ingredients are simple and few. Preparation is easy and quick. I fixed it for our New Year Eve's political party and information technology was a large hit! I followed the bones recipe, using extra precipitous cheddar cheese, throwing in a few salary bits, and rolling it in slivered almonds. All the same, the gustation of the cheese ball with the ranch mix was superb. It went quite well on Triscuits. I recollect MOST everyone who tries this recipe will be well pleased.
01/30/2007
This is very popular each time I brand it. Like other reviewers said, brand information technology in advance to allow the seasoning mix to actually seep into the cheese. Otherwise, it volition be too salty. Also, all ranch seasoning mixes are not the same. I recommend Hidden Valley Ranch. I like to add crisp, crumbled salary (Non salary bits!) if I have fourth dimension. It'south dandy with sharp cheddar, too.
04/30/2006
I ended up using i/2 oz of the ranch dressing. Any more would be too strong and salty for me. I used up to 3 1/2 c of cheddar cheese also and added chopped green onions, then rolled in chopped walnuts. Made two cheese assurance, ate i and froze the other. I made the recipe the day earlier so the flavors could mingle. Thanks for the recipe!
11/23/2004
This is a fantastic recipe, very easy. Exist sure to try toasting the pecans first!
02/28/2011
3 stars as is. This is far besides salty/tangy with the whole parcel of ranch dressing mix. I put in one extra block of cream cheese and it improved this dish tenfold! And so instead of using ii (8 oz) blocks of cream cheese, use three and the recipe is perfect!
12/10/2010
This has become a family favorite. It is elementary to prepare and anybody loves it. It is smashing rolled in salary bits. Make certain you use the salad dressing mix and non the dip mix. The high sodium content in the dip mix is shocking and would make the final product too salty.
01/08/2002
The ranch dressing really makes this cheese ball delicious! I love cheese anyway, but this was soooooo good. I volition make this all the fourth dimension!
02/21/2002
Admittedly yummy and easy to make! Tastes better the 2nd solar day. I used pistachios for the basics and they made a beautiful and delicious crush.
03/20/2006
Excellent no fail cheese ball. Keeps a long fourth dimension in the refrigerator! Thanks
02/06/2011
This is the best cheese ball recipe I know of, I even gave some to my picky husband who also fell in dear with it. I did make a few changes...I soften both cheeses in my oven until warm and used precipitous cheddar cheese. By doing this, fabricated it a lot easier to mix, later mixing I covered information technology with plastic and placed the whole bowl in the refridge. for almost xxx min or so. I than took the bowl out and information technology was cold enough to grade a ball, I took the communication from another reviewer by rolling it in real bacon bits instead of pecans, Eureka! Sooooo soooo good, OH! I almost forgot I made this the night before and then all of the flavors had a take chances to marry together. Just Perfect!
01/01/2011
Fabricated this for a Christmas Eve party. It was awesome. Bought the twin pack of ranch dressing mix, almost added one whole packet and realized that it was a two ounce bag, not one ounce. Using one ounce made a perfect cheese ball! My family loved information technology, as did my guests. Thanks for sharing a great and like shooting fish in a barrel recipe! Update:have made it several times, it shapes really well. I have used it to make an igloo shape (beautiful with the cream cheese penguins), a snowman, and a mouse. It always works, and is always eaten rapidly! Thank you for this recipe!
03/17/2011
This is the easiest and yummiest cheese ball e'er. My hubby loves it when I make it and friends and family rave about it when i get in for them besides! I nonetheless practice it the "lazy" manner and simply mix the bacon bits and all the cheddar cheese into the mixture instead of rolling it on the outside... withal just equally yummy with a little less piece of work when you are in a bustle!
11/27/2010
I'm not a fan of cream cheese so I had to run a gustatory modality test earlier our Thanksgiving feast. It was a HIT!! I followed the recipe merely used a fine shredded Wisconsin white cheddar equally it's what I had on hand. I also went easier on the pecans and chopped them finely for the coating. This made 2 decent sized cheeseballs. I've been asked to make them again for a political party that's coming upward! I used small round bowls and placed saran wrap in them and filled with the cheese and closed the end to shape properly and go out any air bubbling. I refridgerated for a day, before serving I rolled the cheeseball in the pecans. Both were polished off quickly! Unless yous have a nutrient processor y'all're going to have to get your easily in there to mix well!! Remember to employ ranch mix and not dips, there is a 100mg sodium difference!
03/22/2011
These were awesome ... I added chives, and had to use less ranch because I had the seasoning mix and not the dressing mix. If I had used the full amount it definitely would've been as well salty. I will be making these once more!
03/09/2011
I made this for my daughter's wedding reception, anybody loved it!!!
04/25/2011
This cheese brawl was a huge hit and was devoured in no fourth dimension at all. It was super uncomplicated to make and made a nice presentation. Be careful to use ranch dressing mix and Not the dip mix or you will detect it to be very salty. Next fourth dimension I plan to make it with pepper jack cheese and maybe a lilliputian horseradish to add a trivial more zip.
11/17/2000
I tried this recipe at a few gatherings. EVERYONE loves this cheese ball. They think it is very hard to brand, if they only knew. My mother-in-law, who is the best at everything, asked ME for the recipe!! The 2d time I tried this with slivered almonds and I like this much amend. A sure hit for any party. For an added kick, I chop a celery stalk and i/2 an onion. I saute that in two TBSP of butter, allow cool and mix with the residuum of the ingredients. If you lot cut the recipe in half y'all get a cheese ball the size of a large orange or a small grapefruit, I detect that is enough. THIS IS A HIT!!!!!!!
03/06/2011
Like shooting fish in a barrel and good. I brought this to work over the holidays and it was loved by all.
10/31/2010
Great recipe. I added 6 strips of crumbled salary and virtually three green onions and it came out perfect. Without those additions the flavour may have been a little bland for my taste. I fabricated it for Halloween so instead of rolling it in pecans I rolled it in crushed doritos, cut up black olives as a Jack o Lantern face, and added celery as a stalk. I plated it on kale and information technology was a huge hit!
12/02/2010
Super piece of cake and super yummy! I made this for Thanksgiving and everyone loved it. I made mine into individual serving size balls, rolled them in pecans and added a pretzel "stalk" and cilantro leaves to brand them look like piddling pumpkins. They were a hit!
06/28/2011
I put some real bacon bits in the mixture too every bit putting some on the outside mixed with the basics. Very good!
01/17/2011
Family loved the recipe! I tried it with the dissimilar season ranch too.
02/16/2011
I have made this cheese brawl several times. I similar to use Fiesta Ranch instead of the obviously Ranch dressing mix. It gives it an extra kick. Only utilize most one/4 of the package. I also use sliced almonds or cracker crumbs to curlicue the cheese ball in.
12/26/2006
My mom has been making this cheese brawl for years, it is and then good. She finally gave me the recipe and I found it here!! There is a minor change - she only uses 2 cups of chedddar cheese. This is skilful with the ranch dressing mix but try information technology with the Italian Garlic & Herb dressing if you like Garlic equally much as nosotros practice. Nosotros as well brand 3 cheese balls instead of one. That fashion you can put one out and exit the others in the fridge until needed. IF in that location is any leftover someone can accept home a pretty chese ball, rather than a partially eaten one.
06/24/2011
Made this for a family bar-b-q final week-end. Everyone thought it was succulent, adjacent fourth dimension I call back I will employ the finely shredded cheese, equally it was kind of difficult to spread on the crackers. Rolling the ball in real bacon bits is a brilliant idea. I also threw in some minced onion & Mrs. Nuance.
12/24/2011
Easy to brand! We utilize the "dressing mix" and not the "dip mix". My 10 year old has adopted this as her specialty to take to family parties. Good on butter crackers or wheat thins. We make the recipe and divide in 1/two so that one tin take nuts and the other is evidently (for those who don't like nuts). I press each 1/two into a small bowl lined with wax newspaper so that each has a semi-circle shape. Then I serve them side by side surrounded by crackers. Yum!
09/02/2011
I followed the recipe exactly. It was pretty proficient, but I idea information technology was a piffling dry out. Could information technology have been because I used low-fatty foam cheese? Since it was and then piece of cake to make, I may try it again with regular cream cheese to come across if that makes a divergence.
02/07/2011
This wasn't bad. I cut the recipe in half and am glad I did information technology makes alot. I added more cheese and substituted chopped Walnuts for pecans since that was all I had. I did notice that the cheese ball was a little stiff due to the ranch dip mix and I can come across it existence Salty. Maybe I will try this again using an Onion dip mix instead.
04/11/2011
This was terrific. I used low-fat cheese with no trouble, and rolled mine in Hormel real bacon bits due to a guest with diverticulosis. Came out bully, cheers for the recipe!
12/11/2012
I used (1) viii oz block of cream cheese & (1) eight oz container of chive and onion flavored foam cheese-this added some great flavor!! Blended them together thoroughly. Added but (1) rounded tablespoon of dry ranch dressing mix--not entire package. Added finely grated sharp cheddar cheese to taste. Also had some finely grated Parmesan cheese and so added some of that besides. No measurements- just eyeballed it. Added a splash of Worstershire sauce and almost (1/2) teaspoon of garlic pulverization. Mixed thoroughly. Formed (2) cheese balls from this mixture and chilled for near two hours. I toasted my pecans so chopped them. After the cheese balls had chilled, then rolled in chopped pecans. Very tasty and pretty!! Giving i as a Christmas gift.
07/09/2011
Delish and unproblematic! I've made this twice and it'south a big hit at our poker parties. I make the verbal recipe and I didn't deviate. Give thanks you!
06/08/2011
This was quick and tasty. Easy enough to throw together final minute with some crackers. I volition definitely be making this again.
02/06/2011
This cheese ball is crawly!! I'm not real big on pecans, then I rolled it in bacon bits. It was a huge hit and gone before I knew it! Next time I'll brand 2!
05/15/2011
Great recipe--makes a HUGE amount. I used real bacon $.25 (packaged) instead of pecans for the outside.
xi/19/2001
I made this recipe for my girl's 2nd altogether party. I must say that I didnt actually try it considering I was so decorated doing other things. But here is my oppinion on making it. This makes a HUGE cheeseball. I had 35 people and I had half leftover at the end. Just anyways. I must stress that the cream cheese MUST exist softened. I didnt have fourth dimension to let information technology sit out of the fridge. And permit me tell you my arm just near bankrupt. My hubby and I had to have turns stirring. But aside from that I believe this was a skillful recipe. Everone seemed to love it. And my dad and aunt were fighting over who got to accept home the leftovers! Thanks!!!
12/29/2009
used this recipe with a couple of changes -- omit the cheese, shape information technology into a log, and gyre it in Lawry'due south seasoned pepper -- everyone requests it!
12/31/2010
Awesome, have fabricated it twice in two weeks. Used the real bacon bits on the exterior.
01/01/2011
This was like shooting fish in a barrel to make and an absolute hit at my annual Christmas political party! I was already asked to make this cheese ball for a New Years party! This makes a very big cheese brawl. I actually made two, smaller cheese balls with this recipe.
12/30/2011
The title says information technology all - EASY! I made a more than complicated one a few years ago that involved spinach and a few other ingredients, and this i was literally ready afterward a few minutes. I do propose letting it sit in the refrigerator for a few hours or even days and let the flavors alloy together.
12/31/2010
made this for Christmas Eve. personally, make this about 8 hrs. ahead of fourth dimension and roll in pecans correct before serving. after waiting those viii hrs., information technology's definitely not as salty and it's much easier to handle when rolling in basics because it'due south alot more than firm. already planning on making this over again for new years eve!
02/09/2011
This was really adept. A little tangy like reviews said. Definitely simply for people who actually like ranch.
01/05/2011
Love Love Love this cheese ball! I took another comment'due south suggestion and rolled it in salary since I date a man who believes salary is good on anything. Anybody at my dinner party loved it!
08/01/2011
I'm a huge fan of cream cheese dips, and this one was not very expert. Maybe it needed a few more ingredients. After tasting information technology, I added a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce, which helped some. My daughter, who is crazy for ranch dip and cream cheese, liked it a lot.
02/26/2011
fabricated for superbowl in the shape of a football game, everyone enjoyed it!
07/23/2011
Then yummy. Used 3 cups of sharp cheddar and real bacon $.25 as someone else suggested. Also, made it into a log as opposed to a ball. Big hit!
02/07/2011
good standard cheeseball. You know it's a good recipe if more than people ate it than my mother-in-laws! Next fourth dimension I will add bacon bits and chives.
01/01/2011
This was really skilful, I made this every bit an titbit before our thanksgiving meal. I idea it was also much though, I call up next time I'll half the recipe
05/fourteen/2011
made this for a party final night and everyone loved it. Followed recipe exactly as written
01/21/2012
This is a great recipe. I don't use a full package of the Ranch, I simply mix to taste. I add chopped green onions, fresh cooked bacon (take used Oscar Meyer bits, when in a compression, as well), about 4 slices of bacon, chopped. Then follow the rest of the recipe. You lot can also added diced sweetness peppers, pineapple also as other creative add ins. I did chose to roll mine in nuts, but only considering I added the bacon within. Otherwise, I would have rolled in bacon. Slap-up recipe, and base of operations for a recipe!
05/15/2011
YUMMMMYYYYY. Gustatory modality better with orginal bundle of ranch. Fabricated with the buttermilk version and not also liked, and green.
09/05/2012
Okay everyone, here's the pull a fast one on to take this cheese ball from practiced to superior... become a jar of dried beefiness to chop and add together to the mix. But, exist sure to allow plenty fourth dimension for this to sit in the fridge over dark. It seems to make such a huge difference by allowing 12-24 hours for the flavors to meld together. Every time I make this, people ask for the recipe and they usually ask, "what'southward that added flavor, can't quite effigy it out"? Dried beef..... ah! Keeps 'em guessing all the fourth dimension.
03/eleven/2012
I used a smidgen of salary as others suggested and took the advice of chilling information technology before you lot roll it. Very proficient. Cheers the the recipe.
12/16/2011
This is a great base recipe... you can add together meat(south), cheese(s) and veggie(s) of your choice and I've made this w/Italian dressing mix besides (west/pepperoni, olives & dark-green pepper bits! My favorite is making a cheese-ball snowman, using black olives for eyes, a set up-cut mini carrot as the nose and a green or ruddy pepper scarf... buttons are optional like everything else!!!
11/22/2007
I fabricated this recipe today for Thanksgiving at a friends business firm. I fabricated it exactly equally the recipe says and it was perfect, everyone raved nigh it. I mashed the cream cheese with a spud masher and mixed in the cheese and ranch dressing with my hands. It was not salty or too strong for the states at all. I can't belive how like shooting fish in a barrel such a delicious recipe was to brand.
12/12/2011
This recipe was very piece of cake and delicious! I added a few dashes of worcestershire sauce, a small spoon of horseradish, and a few finely chopped chives. I purchase the ranch mix in a big canister, which didn't give the equivalent for the packet-i had a hard fourth dimension finding it on the net--so if you lot demand it, it's apx. 2 one/2 T. ( I heard 2, then i heard 3?) I am planning to roll them in crisp bacon pieces-only concern I have is how the bacon will hold up because I am freezing them, I hope it doesn't stop up soggy?
12/27/2011
This was so simple and succulent. I added peppered existent salary bits instead of the pecans and it was bang-up!
09/21/2007
My first cheeseball. I was scared because I didn't know what to expect. I was making it for a potluck at work. They tried to tell me to buy some sort of tubbed cheese and this and that and worcheshire sauce(spell that on the wing, I dare you) and I was confused. And then I searched. Went to giant hawkeye with a impress out of the ingredients. Bought the best(hidden valley, Sargento, and philly) and put it all together. Was kinda hard to mix. Guess I should've let the cream cheese soften like it says, simply was brusk on time. I took the ball to work, and the piece of work chef asked for the recipe. Needless to say, there were 9 people eating. The cheese brawl doesn't exist anymore and it was a success(and super easy) Note: I bought triscuits and wheat thins. another girl bought Townhouse crackers. The townhouse crackers are gone. I still have a box of triscuits and wheat thins. Purchase ritz or townhouse crackers. people don't like wheat apparently. Oh, and I didn't utilize pecans. Behemothic Eagle was charging too much for them. So I used sliced almonds. Oh, and I tried rolling information technology later balling it. Didn't piece of work, then I stuck it in the freezer for about 10 minutes and information technology rolled simply fine. Oh, and get out it sit over night, tried some after prep(shh, don't tell the girls at work) it was very ranchy. Next day, was peachy.
11/23/2010
Added green onions...yum!
09/13/2010
This cheeseball is AWESOME! The only thing I did differently was added real salary bits to the outside of the cheeseball as opposed to basics. This cheeseball is huge! It was a hit at our party! VERY easy to make! Thanks for sharing!!
xi/05/2010
Naught exceptional at all. Tasted just similar a big wad of cream cheese with ranch dressing. Will not be making over again.
07/27/2011
Cracking recipe. I substituted almonds because I detest Pecans but I will use again and once again. Thx
07/08/2011
My family, friends and kids go crazy over this cheese ball! It is absolutely fabulous :) LOVE it! Great for become togethers with friends....and wine!
08/09/2010
The ranch dressing mix really makes this cheese brawl sense of taste great. Our dinner party of 13 practically ate the whole thing before dinner was served. They loved information technology and the lilliputian that was left over was ate by my kids before bed.
01/06/2012
It was delicious.I tin't finish eating information technology. I made it the solar day earlier. I can see it might be strong for some but I liked it the mode it was. For those who want a milder flavor, simply use half a package of the dressing.
04/19/2011
Per other reviews, we added green onion and rolled in bacon bits instead of pecans. Next time I would add some kick as well. My girl decorated it like a turkey (pecans and townhouse crackers for the feathers, red bell pepper for the caput) and anybody loved it!
eleven/07/2011
This is a great and simple cheese ball. I simply had colby jack cheese on hand and walnuts instead of pecans. The season is delicious! I volition brand this again and again. I know some take complained about there being too much ranch, but only add it to gustation and problem solved!
02/07/2009
We really similar this easy cheese ball, and it is pretty easy to keep the ingredients around for last-minute gatherings. Nosotros tried using taco seasoning instead of ranch dressing mix and that is really good, too. We programme on trying chili seasoning, likewise equally onion soup mix, to see how they plow out.
11/03/2007
Hard to believe that this cheeseball is and so not bad and only uses 4 ingredients. Definitely make a day ahead, cheeseballs always taste ameliorate the next day afterwards the flavors take time to sit together. Everyone e'er loves this recipe!!!
12/03/2010
Made this for Thanksgiving and anybody loved it. I rolled information technology in real bacon $.25 instead of pecans. I besides added some chopped spring onions. It was yummy!!!
12/xiv/2011
This cheese ball recipe is very easy to brand and tastes great! I gave six away as gifts concluding year for Christmas and every one loved them. I am making some right now for my family, it'south go a nice tradition and it is just as skillful or better than Hickory Farms cheese balls.
08/17/2011
I fabricated this one time for a get together & it was a hit. Anybody raved how good information technology was. Very easy recipe & very addicting too!
12/04/2011
I made the recipe with ingredients every bit listed. I fabricated certain I used the powdered ranch dressing, every bit opposed to dip, every bit other suggested. The but change I made was in technique - I toasted the pecans for a few minutes in the oven. Served it with wheat thin crackers and it was a large hit at Thanksgiving!
11/25/2010
I fabricated this the day earlier and it turned out perfect. Everyone raved over it.
12/23/2010
OMgosh!!! yummy! i just made this, and i tin can't wait for my hubby to try it!! i used sharp cheddar and bumped it up to iii cups. then threw some existent bacon $.25 (bought) into a hot frying pan along with some worcestershire sauce, for 3-4 minutes, let information technology cool and mashed information technology in with the cheese and dressing. it yeilded 4 baseball size cheese balls= pefection!! i had to try some right away and information technology is the all-time cheese ball i have ever made!! i can't wait until the flavors really prepare!!! OMgosh! i am so pleased with this recipe, give thanks yous and then much for sharing!
eleven/04/2003
Delicious and Easy! I had never made a cheese ball and this was very piece of cake to make. I used slivered almonds which I toasted, and kept the other ingredients the same. However, I felt it fabricated a huge ball and would either make it into 2 balls or 1/2 the recipe. I served it with a variety of wheat and water crackers. It went over well.
02/xviii/2010
A striking with our oversupply. I used sun-dried tomato cream cheese and made ii smaller cheese assurance - ane rolled in pecans and the other in bacon. Virtually half of the pecan cheese ball was leftover, but the one with bacon was devoured.
01/14/2008
I made a unlike cheese ball for years, but came beyond this one and decided to try information technology. YUM! I changed it a petty. I used sharp cheddar and added tabasco sauce, worcestershire sauce, left out the dill, added green onions. We will brand this again and again. Thanks
12/31/2011
This was so good and so like shooting fish in a barrel! We used a fiddling lest ranch mix then it chosen for because I only had ii small packets but it was so good! We mixed some nuts in the cheeseball and coated them on top and really enjoyed it.
11/21/2010
Followed the recipe exactly every bit stated. This was fantastic! Made a couple cheese balls for my sister'southward baby shower. Everyone idea they were the Hickory Farms cheese balls (for sense of taste & appearance). Volition be using this recipe a lot!
04/thirteen/2006
This is very proficient. I did add Worcestershire and hot pepper sauce. I hear people mutter about how hard it is to mix. I ever employ my electric mixer. Works for me!!
11/xiii/2011
This is a yummy cheeseball! I took some of the other reviewer's advice and rolled the brawl in bacon bits as well as some pecans. It was really practiced!
12/28/2011
Anybody loved this cheese ball which is not e'er the instance when serving cheese balls. I made sure I used Subconscious Ranch original dressing mix. This is so easy and so good!! It'due south a keeper.
eleven/24/2010
This recipe is dandy. So simple. Everyone loves it. Sometimes instead of the pecans I make it with Chip Beef. I besides always add green onions.
09/30/2011
The nurses at my husband'due south work were admittedly falling over their chairs for this, as was I from the comfort of my home :) with the i I saved for us! Went crawly with wheat thins, and rolled in crushed almonds.
01/07/2008
Hands down the All-time cheese ball i've ever had, and VERY piece of cake to make! yet you lot MUST let information technology sit for 12-24 hours in the fridge for the seasoning to blend.
12/08/2005
I'm making this again for our Thanksgiving family unit assemble. It is quick, can exist made the 24-hour interval before, and is DELISH! I've made the original recipe and sometimes I've added greenish onions, sometimes red peppers, sometimes both. It's a very versatile recipe that tin be changed based on your mood or what you have on hand. Thanks once more for a great recipe!
11/05/2011
Very yummy and easy to make! I've never made a cheese brawl before so I wasn't certain how it would plow out. I substituted a "fiesta" cheese blend for the cheddar and it turned out very well!
06/16/2012
Fabricated this for "Girls Night"...everyone LOVED it! This is a great basic recipe that tin take on many different flavor variations: I used only HALF of the ranch dressing mix; added dill, salary $.25, chopped green onions, finely chopped parsley and used precipitous cheddar cheese. So many things one can do with this recipe, information technology'due south countless! (And makes a Large cheese ball)...:o)
11/09/2010
Groovy recipe. I added honey and dried cranberries for holidays. It disappeared in no fourth dimension.
12/22/2008
Great recipe! I toasted the pecans start (be sure to permit them cool) and they gave that extra rich flavour and crunch to the cheeseball. Also, this recipe makes a huge ball and seemed to serve twice as many people as indicated. The next time, I fabricated two medium/big ones and it worked out neat.
12/25/2010
I thought the ranch season was too stiff, only I let information technology sit down over night like everyone suggested and it was all the same too much for me, but my husband loved it.
12/19/2006
This was soooooo adept! It was very salty, merely I like food that way. If you don't, I would definetly cut dorsum the ranch mix. I volition definetly make this again and again!
02/04/2012
Very nice; made 2 med sized assurance...I added real salary bits since there are peanut allergies in the family unit, a few dashes of hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. I made it the mean solar day before so the flavours could meld together, and rolled them in smoked paprika to serve. I will be making this again..thank you for the recipe!
11/xix/2010
I love this cheese brawl recipe. I employ it every year at Thanksgiving and turn it into a turkey by putting sliced almonds all over information technology for the feathers, wooden skewers in the back with cheese blocks, grapes and other colorful nutrient for the plumes and a slice of cheese for the gobbler. Information technology's always a big hit!
01/18/2007
Easy this certainly was. But I didn't observe anything special about it. I rolled information technology in sliced almonds. Was ok, but needs more to it to make information technology worth making over again. Possibly a stronger cheese like blue cheese or feta? (I guess I but prefer stronger flavours) Other reviewers are quite correct virtually leaving it overnight in the fridge before serving as information technology is very salty at kickoff.
12/23/2010
This recipe is great just I alter mine quite a bit. I practise not roll mine in pecan or add cheese into the cheese brawl. I do ii packages of cream cheese, ranch dressing, i teaspoon tabasco sauce and 1 teaspoon of horseradish. It gives it a little zing. And so I roll my cheese brawl in the shredded cheese. Serve chilled. I made this for thanksgiving and it was gone in 6 minutes. I couldn't believe it! It wasn't spicy but had a little zing to it and I couldn't stop eating information technology along with anybody else. My great grandma said that it was the all-time that she's always eaten and she's 94 years erstwhile and then that says a lot. Effort this and you'll love information technology!!! It sounds kind of gross but it'south non and I tin't handle spicy foods, they kill my belly. Proficient luck and thanks for the recipe!!
12/19/2013
This was excellent. Of course I added some things equally I like depth of flavors. 1 tsp roasted garlic, 1 tbsp. worcestershire, and 1 tbsp. franks red hot. I wasn't sure near rolling in pecans equally although I like them, I didn't think they would exist good with the creamy cheese, only they were not bad! It got rave reviews.

This cheeseball is really dainty!! It went over very well at a become together. I did not take a ranch seasoning packet so I used the dry out ingredients to the "Ranch DressingII" recipe found on the salads recipe page. I as well recommend you utilise the toasted slivered almonds. They really make it something special.
